Senior Import Coordinator

An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Import Coordinator within a dynamic logistics environment in the Western Cape. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the import and export of products to ensure an efficient and successful foreign trade function. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with customs clearance procedures and regulatory requirements in South Africa, as well as coordinating shipments through clearing agents, shipping lines, and relevant authorities. You will liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth international logistics operations while proactively addressing any shipment delays or issues. In addition, you will assist with shipment planning, monitor shipment status, track containers, and report on shipment progress. Your expertise in international logistics and documentation will contribute to efficient operations, timely deliveries, and the effective functioning of the foreign trade department. Applicants should possess a solid background in import and export coordination, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. To be considered for this role, you should have Matric and at least 5 years of experience in imports and/or exports. A relevant tertiary qualification in logistics, supply chain, or a related field will be advantageous. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage logistics operations efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
