Job Description
Role Purpose The Supply Chain Manager will oversee and optimise the end-to-end supply chain for a household textile business, ensuring efficient sourcing, production planning, inventory management, and distribution of finished goods. The role focuses on cost control, supplier performance, and on-time delivery while maintaining product quality and availability. Key Responsibilities Supply Chain & Planning Manage the full supply chain process from raw material sourcing to finished goods distribution. Develop and implement demand planning and production schedules aligned with sales forecasts. Ensure optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimising excess inventory. Procurement & Supplier Management Source and manage suppliers of fabrics, trims, packaging, and related materials. Negotiate pricing, lead times, and contracts with local and international suppliers. Monitor supplier performance and ensure quality, compliance, and delivery standards. Inventory & Warehouse Management Oversee inventory control across raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Implement systems and controls to reduce stock losses, shortages, and overstocking. Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure efficient storage and dispatch. Production & Operations Coordination Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth manufacturing flow and capacity planning. Identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure production timelines are met without compromising quality standards. Logistics & Distribution Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including transport and delivery scheduling. Ensure timely distribution to retailers, wholesalers, or direct-to-consumer channels. Optimise logistics costs while maintaining service levels. Reporting & Compliance Track and report on KPIs such as OTIF (on-time-in-full), inventory turns, lead times, and costs. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards. Prepare regular supply chain performance reports for management. Minimum Requirements Diploma or Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or related field. 3- 5 years experience in a supply chain or operations role, preferably within textiles, FMCG, or manufacturing. Strong understanding of inventory management, procurement, and production planning. Experience working with ERP or supply chain management systems. Proven ability to manage suppliers and cross-functional teams
