Senior Draughtsman

Steel Studio specializes in the installation of high-quality glass balustrades, staircases, hand railings, and pool enclosures for both residential and commercial projects. We are seeking a Senior Draughtsperson to oversee the draughting office and play a key role in ensuring precision, efficiency, and excellence across all projects. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Oversight Supervise and manage the draughting office. Review and approve technical drawings before submission. Mentor, guide, and train junior draughtsmen. Site Measurements Conduct and oversee accurate on-site measurements. Liaise with homeowners, architects, and project managers to ensure detailed accuracy. Technical Drawings Produce and review detailed drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, Genesis, SolidWorks). Ensure all designs meet project specifications and industry standards. Collaborate with project managers to prepare technical job files. Production Coordination Lead discussions in production meetings regarding material needs and technical details. Oversee and support final site measurements as required. Relevant tertiary qualification in Drafting. Proficiency in CAD software. Strong technical knowledge of drawings, measurements, and specifications. Proven leadership and team management experience. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Computer literacy essential (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook). Valid drivers license.
