Medical Authorizations Clerk - Head Office – Bellville

Icon Healthcare is seeking an objective Medical Authorizations Clerk to add value and improve our operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of Pre-authorization and governance processes. The successful candidate will possess knowledge of medical procedures and a sound judgement. Responsibilities include: Adherence to Process (Authorization Clerk's Processes) Compliance with System Controls (Authorization Clerk's Processes) Obtain timeous and accurate authorization from medical aids Updating authorizations with medical aids where changes occurred Updating various systems regarding authorization details Liaison with Practice regarding obtained authorization Registering patients on eAuth Assist with collection of payments of Private Patients Ad hoc Administration duties Senior certificate qualification (Matric) Knowledge of E-Auth, Aria, Mosaiq Proficient in computer skills, Excel 2 years experience as an Auth Clerk 2 years experience in Medical Reception or medically related profession Knowlegde of ICD 10 coding and Medical Aid Authorisations Oncology background experience preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology on oncology treatment courses The Company's approved Employment Equity plan and targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process aligned to the Groups Employment Equity strategy.
