Java Developer

Our client, a leading technology company in the travel/hospitality sector, is seeking a Java Developer to join their expanding development team. This role offers 100% remote work and provides the opportunity to contribute to scalable, high-performance systems that power thousands of hotels and online booking platforms. Role Overview Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs critical to core systems Enhance and manage payment systems , ensuring secure and efficient processing Implement software design patterns to promote scalability and maintainability Integrate with external APIs and contribute to database development for optimal performance Build automated tests and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end testing Utilize Docker for containerization and collaborate on CI/CD workflows Contribute to DevOps practices , monitoring, and infrastructure automation Requirements Certificate or Degree in IT / Computer Science preferred 4 years experience in Java backend development Strong experience in RESTful API design and software design Unit, integration, and end-to-end testing experience Docker containerization experience Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills Nice-to-Have Messaging frameworks for inter-service communication Redis for caching and performance optimization DevOps exposure Playwright for automated testing Should you meet the requirements for this position, please email your CV to it.vacancy@stand-outstaffing.co.za.
