Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Centurion Product Development. Details designs from first principles as well as improvements on existing Product ranges. Qualification and Key Skills Required: B Eng/BSc in Mechanical Engineering Minimum of 7 years of design experience Ability to plan and execute project plans Ability to guide and mentor other engineers Innovative and self-driven Hands-on approach to problem solving Readily able to adjust to changing priorities Objective-oriented, setting goals and meeting deadlines Responsibilities 3D CAD models, designs, and presentations to clients. Preparation of manufacturing and supplier part drawings Conduct concept and design reviews Manage and support the day-to-day design activities Provide creative and technically feasible solutions for cost savings, service issues, and product improvements. Interface with materials and purchasing on new part design and sourcing. Interface with Analysis, Test, and Manufacturing Engineering to determine the most effective and economical use of materials and manufacturing processes. Interface with the Product Regulation and Compliance staff to design products that meet government regulations, restrictions, and codes.
