Internal Sales Representative

Internal Sales (Steel Industry) Our client in the steel industry is looking for a dynamic, driven and motivated Internal Salesperson to join their team. The ideal candidate should have Steel & Tube and / or Sheet & Plate experience as this would be hugely beneficial. Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to: Answering of incoming calls and converting enquiries into sales Handling of customer complaints & queries Ensuring that there is a set system to capture sales, enquiries / orders and monitor the information Quoting by phone and email Receiving and processing of sales orders onto Syspro Sourcing of stock (standard and non-standard) from approved suppliers checking on back orders on a daily basis and release invoices for delivery Expediting of sales orders (deliveries) General office duties Updating of customer discount structures on Syspro Liaise with Warehouse Manager regarding deliveries Leasing with external sales staff Accompany externals sales staff on customer visits as and when required Providing leads to external sales staff All quotes to be followed up Orders to liaised with the responsible external sales representative Ensure to keep credits at a minimum and follow the credit procedure Stock-taking knowledge advantageous as this role requires the candidate to assist with stock-taking duties Qualifications : Matric 3 years' experience in sales within the Steel & Tube industry Computer literate - Syspro - advantageous Fluent in English and Afrikaans Valid driver's license Competencies : Excellent communication skills Team player - must work within the team structure Organize - maintain backorders / deliveries, etc Multi-tasking - ability to handle more than one task Customer service centric Strong sales - ability to promote, market and upsell full range of products Good financial acumen Proactive with problem solving skills Innovative - problem solving skills Honest and reliable Excellent timekeeping
