Job Description

Role Purpose The Financial Administrator is responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the General Ledger through the timely and accurate capturing of supplier invoices and performing bank and creditor reconciliations. The role also includes credit control support and selected debtor control responsibilities, as well as adherence to banking administration processes. Key Responsibilities General Ledger Management Ensures accuracy in capturing invoices and balance sheet reconciliations including bank, creditor, and debtor accounts. Validates supplier invoices according to company and statutory requirements, captures invoices into the general ledger, allocates expenses, and submits for review. Performs reconciliations and raises debtor invoices. Creditors Administration Maintains updated creditor master data, ensures suppliers comply with procurement policies and procedures, and updates supplier information regularly. Cash Flow and Banking Administration Supports funding, cash flow, and banking processes. Ensures adequate cash availability for payments and transfers, verifies beneficiary details, submits invoices for payment release, loads VAT payments, arranges funding, and manages banking administration activities. Risk and Compliance Ensures compliance with relevant legislation and internal controls. Manages and governs processes and systems within area of accountability to minimise business risk, implements audit recommendations, resolves audit findings, and maintains approved policies. Human Capital Development Participates in training and development initiatives aligned with personal development plans. Identifies development needs and ensures implementation of personal growth plans. Culture and Values Demonstrates company values and behaviours and contributes positively to organisational culture. Role Requirements Qualifications Bachelors degree or Diploma in Accounting Sciences. NQF Level Level 6 or 7. Experience No experience required for NQF Level 7. 12 years experience in a similar role required for NQF Level 6.
