If you are a commercially astute, field-driven sales professional with experience in E-commerce and fintech, this is an opportunity to own a territory, build a merchant portfolio, and directly influence revenue growth. The Opportunity As an E-Commerce Account Executive you will be responsible for acquiring, activating, and expanding E-commerce merchants within your assigned region. This is not a desk-based sales role it is a frontline commercial position where execution, pipeline discipline, and revenue delivery matter. You will drive merchant growth across our integrated product suite Card, Cash, Capital, Software, and Value-Added Services (VAS) with a core focus on E-commerce solutions. Your ability to convert pipeline into installed, revenue-generating merchants will define your success. This role suits an entrepreneurial sales professional who treats their territory like their own business. What You Will Be Accountable For Merchant Acquisition & Pipeline Growth Prospect, secure, and close new E-commerce merchants Deliver against monthly and quarterly acquisition targets Present integrated payment, funding, and software solutions Focus on high-opportunity sectors and maintain strong pipeline velocity Activation & Revenue Performance Convert signed deals into installed, actively transacting merchants Drive time-to-activation and improve conversion rates Monitor ARPU growth, churn, and pipeline performance via CRM Work closely with onboarding teams to ensure seamless merchant enablement Portfolio Expansion & Cross-Sell Identify and execute cross-sell and upsell opportunities Promote bundled solutions to increase retention and profitability Support product launches and feature adoption initiatives Territory Ownership & Commercial Discipline Maintain accurate CRM reporting and full pipeline visibility Provide structured market and competitor insights Align field execution to regional growth targets Continuous Market Development Stay informed on fintech, payments, and SME funding trends Contribute insights and best practices to strengthen team performance What Success Looks Like Leading Indicators Secured appointments and merchant engagements Lead-to-sign conversion rates Speed of activation post-onboarding Multi-product penetration Lagging Indicators Monthly revenue growth (ARPU) Quarterly acquisition target achievement CRM governance and reporting accuracy What You Bring Minimum 3 years experience in external sales, merchant acquisition, or business development Proven track record in multi-product sales and pipeline management Experience in fintech, financial services, E-commerce, or merchant acquiring preferred Strong commercial acumen and data-driven mindset Ability to operate independently in a field-based environment Matric required; tertiary qualification advantageous Valid drivers licence and reliable vehicle Willingness to travel within your region Core Competencies High sales drive and disciplined execution Strong product articulation and solution selling capability Customer-centric relationship building Analytical pipeline management Territory planning and prioritisation Influencing and negotiation skills Accountability and ownership mindset Adaptability in a fast-moving commercial environment Why Join Lesaka?
