Gauge Technician Assistant

Perform routine calibration of gauges and measuring equipment. Maintain calibration records and ensure traceability. Identify gauges that are due, overdue, or out of tolerance. Troubleshoot faulty instruments and arrange repairs or replacements. Ensure compliance with internal standards. Label and store gauges properly to prevent damage or misidentification. Matric / High School Certificate with Maths and Physical Science Mechanical Engineering qualification (advantageous) Technical Certificate or training metrology, instrumentation, or related field (advantegous) Understanding of measurement tools (callipers, micrometres, dial gauges, torque tools) Ability to read technical drawings and tolerance specifications (to be trained) Basic Computer Skills (Excel, calibration software) Knowledge of calibration standards and quality systems Good communication skills High attention to detail
