Emergency Medicine Registrar – Ireland

Key Responsibilities Conduct clinical assessments, order investigations, and develop treatment plans for general medicine patients. Participate in daily ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, clinics, and on-call duties. Supervise and mentor junior doctors (SHOs, interns), promoting education and collaboration. Maintain patient records and adhere to hospital policies, clinical governance, and audit initiatives. Engage in continuing professional development aligned with the Medical Council and HSE requirements Qualifications & Experience Full registration (or eligibility) with the Medical Council of Ireland (IMC) . Min. 2-5 years postgraduate experience, preferably in general medicine or a relevant specialty. Prior UK/Ireland experience is required. Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills; ability to work under pressure. Experience in practical clinical procedures (e.g. ABGs, IV cannulation, NG tubes) is required, particularly during on-call duties.
