CNC Plasma Machine Operator

Overview A reputable steel manufacturing company based in Rosslyn, is seeking an experienced CNC Plasma Machine Operator to join their production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CNC plasma cutting machines, a solid understanding of steel materials, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities Set up, program, and operate CNC plasma machines to cut steel components to specification. Monitor cutting operations to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications. Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on machines; report faults promptly. Meet production targets and deadlines while maintaining quality standards. Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment; follow all H&S procedures. Minimum Requirements At least 2 years experience operating CNC plasma cutting machines. Experience within the steel or metal fabrication industry preferred. Matric is not required but would be an advantage. Good understanding of machine setup, operation, and basic maintenance. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control standards. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or within a team. Willingness to work cross-functional when required (support other production areas as needed). Additional (Favourable) Capabilities Crane operator licence. Forklift licence. Personality / Culture Fit Hands-on and detail-oriented. Reliable and self-motivated with a strong work ethic. Team player with good communication skills and pride in delivering quality work.
