Maintenance Planner

Execute a Maintenance Management System for the Plant and Equipment as required Execute a Safety Health and Environment system in accordance with ISO18001 and ISO14001and ensure certification as require A maintenance planner is responsible for making sure maintenance technicians have the tools and parts they need to complete work orders Assist in preparing the normal and abnormal maintenance budget for the Department Assist in preparing and managing the Capital budget for company Delegate responsibility to the Mechanical and Electrical Foreman to carry out the maintenance function (Planned and breakdown) on all plant and equipment. Implement corrective and preventative actions that could affect product quality Commissioning of new plants after installation. Attend to procedural and equipment issues that arise and require engineering evaluation and direction to improve specific maintenance procedures ? Managing supply contracts of equipment and supervision of best practise installation by contractors. Recommend and carry out plant modifications to improve processes and equipment performance Liaises with the Engineer to offer advice on Plant and Machinery modification and purchase of new equipment. Assist in Controlling the abnormal maintenance expenditure as per approved budgets and advise Managing Director of progress of expenditure. Planning of shutdown work and execution thereof Compile periodic reports (weekly/monthly/quarterly/annually) to ensure company Leadership has up to date information for decision making Qualifications, Skills And Experience: A national diploma in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering with a minimum of three years planning experience or at least five years practical experience as an artisan A b-tech degree or trade test certificate qualification will be advantageous Millwright with red seal An understanding of Facilities Management and building maintenance ? OSHACT Knowledge (ISO 18001 & 14001) Project Management Budgeting, Planning & Negotiation Skills PC Literate Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
