Senior Software Engineer (React, Node, TypeScript)

Our client, a fast-growing technology platform in the emergency response sector , is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join their team. This role can be based in Johannesburg, Pretoria (Hybrid one day/week) , or fully Remote for exceptional candidates. The platform connects users to vetted security and medical response teams, delivering life-saving services globally. Role Overview Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end features for the platform Architect scalable backend systems and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript Collaborate with product teams to build intuitive and performant user interfaces Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting best practices and high-quality code Identify and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues proactively Technical Stack Core: Node.js, React, React Native, TypeScript / JavaScript Frontend Tooling: Vite, Storybook.js DevOps: AWS CodePipeline, CodeMagic, GitHub Actions Cloud: AWS (ECS, Lambda, Aurora, SQS, CloudFront) Persistence: PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, S3, Snowflake Skills & Experience 5 years experience as a Fullstack Engineer Proven expertise in scalable backend systems and API integrations Strong frontend development skills for high-performance user interfaces Experience with database design and optimization, especially PostgreSQL Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) Mentorship experience and ability to foster team collaboration Track record of delivering high-quality, bug-free code Should you meet the requirements for this position, please email your CV to it.vacancy@stand-outstaffing.co.za.
