Finance Leader

Finance Leader - Corporate Travel Office based | Ferndale, Randburg Role Purpose The Finance Leader is responsible for overseeing the companys financial management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong financial controls while actively supporting day-to-day financial operations. This role plays a key part in protecting the organisations financial wellbeing, managing risk, and partnering with leadership to support sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities Manage the full finance function, including accounting, reporting, and financial controls Oversee daily and monthly bank, system, and balance sheet reconciliations Ensure accurate processing and allocation of all financial transactions and client payments Manage accounts payable and receivable, including debtors and creditors Lead the month-end and year-end close processes with no unresolved variances Prepare and maintain budgets, forecasts, and management reports Monitor cash flow, profitability, and cost control Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and internal policies Identify, investigate, and mitigate financial risks Maintain and improve financial systems, processes, and controls Partner with senior leadership on financial planning, reporting, and business decisions Remain hands-on in operational finance where required Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement Lead and develop the finance team, setting clear expectations and accountability Provide financial insight and guidance to non-finance stakeholders Act as a key finance contact for clients, suppliers, auditors, and external partners Support a disciplined, solution-focused, and collaborative finance culture Key Qualities Strong Finance Leader with excellent financial and commercial acumen Meticulous attention to detail with a high standard of accuracy Comfortable operating at both strategic and transactional levels Proactive, organised, and accountable Clear communicator with a supportive leadership approach Aligned with company values and ways of working
