This well established, independently operating FMCG related manufacturer is associated with a well known National, as well as with a Global Group. Purpose of the Role: Provide strong financial support to the Financial Manager in the collection, collation, and interpretation of financial information. Support the business in the delivery of accurate and timely reports. Support the integrity and discipline of the business through driving the implementation and compliance with company policy and procedures. Support the senior team in the speedy and accuracy of decisions through undertaking the collection and collation of data and interpreting of the same. Ensure the integrity of financial data Qualifications & Experience : Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) completed and registered Minimum 3 years of experience within manufacturing or a similar industry Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills Inquisitive, confident, accurate, and attention to detail Excellent organizational skills Proven ability to lead financial processes and collaborate across teams Contribute directly to the company's operational and financial success Key responsibilities Cost Accounting Duties : Analyse and monitor production costs, variances, and profitability Maintain accurate cost records (standard costing- BOMs), ensuring precision in tracking material, labour, and overhead costs Develop and refine costing systems to support pricing strategies and profitability goals Prepare detailed cost reports identifying variances and investigating differences, to assist the business in decision-making Work with operational teams to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives Oversee inventory valuation, attend, analyse and reconcile stock-takes, prepare monthly stock reports Financial Accounting Duties : Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to senior management Assist with working capital planning, optimising the use of resources Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting Assist with compliance in audits, and other statutory requirements Collaborate with management to develop and execute financial strategies that support growth and profitability Support shareholder engagement by preparing financial reports and updates AS ABOVE Should you meet the requirements and be unable to submit your CV via this job portal, or prefer to submit same directly, you can email - bernadette@bmrecruit.co.za
