Accountant - DEKRA Rosslyn

Key Responsibilities · > Manage monthly and annual financial closing processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting. · > Ensure monthly company and branch financial statements are prepared and published on time. · > Perform reconciliation of bank accounts, trade payables, and trade receivables. · > Prepare weekly cash flow forecast to assist management with working capital management and liquidity monitoring. · > Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy & completeness. · > Prepare monthly expense analysis reports for distribution to management. · > Prepare monthly VAT reconciliation to ensure timeous submission in line with SARS requirements. · > Assist with annual budgeting process. · > Assist annual financial audits and internal audits. · > Oversee the debtors team to ensure effective credit control and timely collections. · > Review bank payment batches to ensure correct details have been captured for payment prior to approval. · > Collaborate with IT department to identify areas of improvement in the system to enhance efficiency. · > Assist with compiling required information for B-BBEE and ESG reporting. · > Maintain compliance with the relevant accounting standards, statutory regulations, and company policies. · Manage the fixed asset register, ensuring additions, disposals and transfers are correctly recorded. Qualifications · Bachelors degree in accounting or related field · Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an accountant or similar role · Proficiency in Microsoft Office · Experience with accounting software (SAGE Pastel experience advantageous) · Strong understanding of accounting standards (IFRS) and SARS regulations Skills · Meticulous attention to detail and good analytical skills · Ability to work in a team · Proactive and self-motivated · Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines · Prior experience in managing team · Excellent communication skills
