Material planner

Plan, Schedule and monitor material requirements based on production plans and forecasts. Create and manage material plans using MRP,ERP systems (SAP) Ensure materials are available to support production schedules and customer demand. Monitor inventory levels and adjust plans to prevent shortages and excess stock. Coordinate with procurement to place purchase orders and expedite materials when necessary . Track suppliers performance, delivery schedule and lead times. Resolve material shortages, delays and quality controls teams. Maintain accurate planning data including BOMSs, lead times and safety stock levels. Collaborate with production, engineering, logistics and quality departments Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field 25 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, within a manufacturing or engineering environment Exposure to lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement initiatives is beneficial. Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, e.g., SAP
