Aircon Technician

Installing new AC units, chillers, and associated ductwork, reading blueprints, and ensuring correct electrical wiring. Performing scheduled preventative maintenance, cleaning, calibrating, and inspecting systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Diagnosing and fixing electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant faults in various air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Tracing issues in compressors, pumps, fans, controls, and other components. Responding to emergency calls, providing technical advice, and managing site-specific tasks. Adhering to SANS legislation and SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) regulations, using PPE correctly, and handling equipment safely. Maintaining detailed records, managing stock, preparing job reports, and updating inventory. Refrigeration/Air Conditioning Trade Certificate (Red Seal preferred) or relevant qualification. Understanding of HVAC principles, refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and SANS /SHEQ regulations. Proven experience with installation, servicing, and repair of various AC systems (split, VRF, chillers). Valid Code 10 Driver's License Good problem-solving, analytical thinking, teamwork, customer service, and strong hands-on skills. Willingness to work overtime, travel, and be on call.
