Function/Department Business Systems (Part of the IT Division) Reporting to Senior Project Manager Purpose of the role: The Intermediate Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery of medium to large-scale projects or multiple concurrent workstreams within strategic IT and business initiatives. This role ensures that all assigned projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining high quality standards and stakeholder satisfaction. Working closely with cross-functional delivery teams, the Intermediate Project Manager oversees project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. The role requires strong leadership, risk management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. It also includes supporting project governance, continuous improvement. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS: Plan, manage, and deliver assigned projects: Projects delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality standards Develop and maintain project charters, schedules, and resource plans: Approved project plans with milestones and dependencies clearly defined Manage risks, issues, and dependencies: Risks and issues identified, mitigated, and escalated as per governance processes Lead and facilitate project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder updates: Effective communication and alignment achieved with all stakeholders Track and report on project progress, status, and variances: Weekly or monthly status reports submitted to PMO and stakeholders Ensure compliance with SDLC and project governance frameworks: Project documentation complete and audit-ready Manage vendor or third-party deliverables: Deliverables tracked and validated against scope and contracts Support continuous improvement within the PMO: Contribution to process enhancements, templates, and methodologies Mentor and guide junior project team members: Development and performance feedback provided regularly Qualifications and/ or Certification: Bachelors degree in Project Management, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or related field Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 Practitioner, or Agile certification preferred Formal training in SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodology advantageous Experience and skills: 36 years experience managing IT or business system projects end-to-end Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams and delivering medium to large-scale projects Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid) Proficiency in project management tools (Jira, MS Project, or equivalent) Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business teams Analytical, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills Advanced MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio) Financial acumen for managing project budgets and forecasts Experience within the manufacturing or supply chain environment advantageous Competencies: Project Planning and Execution Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Risk and Issue Management Team Leadership and Collaboration Governance and Reporting Budget and Resource Control Change Management Analytical Thinking and Decision-Making Unique work conditions: Manages multiple concurrent projects across cross-functional teams May be required to work extended hours during major deployments or go-lives Involves high collaboration with business users, IT teams, and external vendors
