BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: End-to-end processing of monthly payroll. Capturing and processing overtime earnings onto the payroll system. Assist with balancing the month end reports. Uploading salaries ABC run into the Netcash system for payment. Exporting of General Ledgers and assisting with Finance month end reporting Ordering, printing, and distributing of all payslips monthly (courier to all branches) Collaborating with the human resources department to maintain employee data on file. Resolving disputes with timesheets, Payslips, and other payroll queries. Compiling new employee banking records & changes to process payments accurately Assist with Internal and Group reporting as & when needed, internal audits, year-end. Termination process i.e., archiving of terminated employee files (ensuring last Payslip & termination documents are on file) Drafting of UI-19s, salary schedules for terminated staff. Liaise with staff concerning admin queries, changes to medical aid, provident fund contributions. Handling and following up on death and funeral claims with Old Mutual. Ad hoc duties as & when required within HR Dept. Filing of all monthly payroll and HR admin documentation in employees personal files. Ensure that staff records are appropriately maintained (including archiving thereof) in accordance with legislation and company policy. Assist with monthly salary administration on Sage 300 People. Assist with month end procedure i.e., 3rd party recons, salary journals. Liaise with staff on admin queries, changes to medical aid, pension plans and payroll queries. Always comply with company policies & procedures. Reporting all misconduct and undesirable behaviour immediately to the MD/ Branch Manager. Reporting all instances of theft to the MD/ Branch Manager immediately. Maintaining and improving upon all client relationships. Fostering a culture of teamwork and a positive approach towards the company and its objectives. Always maintain the strictest level of confidentiality. Any other duties related to this position as requested by Portfolio Payroll Manager MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Matric certificate Diploma in Human Resources Management Valid drivers license (not essential) A minimum of 3-5 years experience in similar role Sound Knowledge of all Labor Relations Legislation Sound Knowledge of Sage 300 payroll and ESS system Knowledge of the SARS E-Filling system Computer Literate BEHAVIOURAL DIMENSIONS REQUIRED: Compliance knowledge Problem-solving skills Attention to detail Confidentiality Customer service skills Data entry skills Literate and ability to communicate in English Excellent communication skills Committed & Reliable Trustworthy and Honest
