MMS is seeking to employ a qualified and experienced Group Financial Manager. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and highly skilled Finance Team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Executive. JOB DESCRIPTION Group Financial Manager is responsible for overseeing group level financial reporting, consolidation, review processes and month end close activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery of financial information across the MMS group. DUTIES/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Financial Reporting Responsible for monthly, quarterly, half year and year end consolidated flash results and management accounts Preparation and presentation of consolidated flash reporting Preparation of financial information and analysis for Exco and Board reporting Financial Processing Review and processing of group consolidation entries at MMS group level using Hyperion Allocation and review of group level charges Review Assist FE with gathering of any ad hoc financial information for review Assist the FE with balance sheet and management account reviews for the various divisions and companies within MMS Review of tax computations Review of MMS Head Office financial accounts Review of management accounts and expense reconciliations Month end processing Review of debtors and creditors, including shared costs Review of payroll, accruals and provisions, fixed asset and depreciation journal reviews Cashbook, Bank and intercompany reconciliation review Cash flows Monthly submission to treasury Payments Payments review and release Other Co-ordination of year-end audit with auditors for the MMS group as well as responsible for the MMS head office audit Co-ordination of the annual budget process Any other ad hoc duties assigned by the group FE Leadership Leadership and development of finance team EDUCATION Bcom Accounting/Bcompt (Honours) EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED Strong analytical ability to interpret financial information, attention to detail. Technical skills IFRS, Taxation Experience on Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and/or Hyperion (preferable) or other accounting package Strong ability to adapt to change Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines Ability to manage group processes that involves building relationships with business unit Financial Managers Ability to work independently, swiftly and efficiently in order to meet deadlines (deadline driven) Detailed knowledge of Business Unit Operations Experience in consolidations Criminal and Credit Clear Must have own transport
