Virtual Bookkeeper - Finance Assistance

We are looking for a bookkeeper - finance assistance to join our finance team in a fully remote, online role for a Company based in the UK. This is a transactional, process-driven position focused on day-to-day finance operations. The work is repetitive by nature and requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and comfort working to regular deadlines particularly around month-end. This role does not include management accounts, financial analysis, or reporting ownership . It is ideal for someone who enjoys structured work, following clear processes, and seeing tasks completed correctly. Key responsibilities: Processing supplier and customer invoices accurately using online finance system Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers remotely Managing a shared finance inbox and responding to queries via email and internal tools Performing regular bank and account reconciliations Posting payments and allocating receipts Assisting with credit control and chasing outstanding balances Supporting month-end processes through reconciliations and checks Maintaining accurate digital records and audit trails All work is completed online , using cloud-based systems and remote collaboration tools. What were looking for: Previous experience in a finance assistant, accounts assistant, or similar transactional role Comfortable carrying out repetitive, process-based finance tasks Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working independently Able to manage deadlines in a remote working environment Confident using cloud-based accounting systems (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar) Good written communication skills for handling queries remotely Remote working expectations Able to work independently and reliably without constant supervision Comfortable communicating via email, google meets, and task management tools Organized and disciplined when working from home Able to ask questions appropriately and flag issues in a timely manner What this role is (and isnt) This role is: Fully remote and online Transactional and operational Process-driven and structured Focused on accuracy and consistency This role is not: A management accounting role An FP&A or analytical position A stepping stone into strategy, investment, or advisory work We are looking for someone who is happy to build reliability, ownership, and trust in core finance operations .
