The Main Purpose of the job The successful applicant will ensure that quality of Pest Prevention and standards of productivity as set by the Company are achieved within the financial budget, client satisfaction/ business retention whilst upholding the company policies and procedures. The incumbent will also be responsible for repairing and maintaining all industrial cleaning equipment within the Repairs & Maintenance scope of work with a high emphasis on safety, quality, and cost as required for the department. Education and Experience required: Matric Department of Agriculture P Qualification Fumigation (Commodities) would be an added advantage Minimum Two (2) years' experience in the Pest Control service industry is essential HACCP experience will be advantageous Strong technical skills and industry knowledge will be an advantage Valid drivers license is compulsory Knowledge, Skills and Competencies: Good numeric and administrative skills Good planning, leading, negotiation, and organizational skills Good interpersonal skills Well-groomed Proactive and takes initiative Computer literate (MS Office) Ability to work flexible hours as required Excellent time keeping skills Key areas of responsibility: Ensure compliance with all the regulations of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and any other regulation or Act that might refer to the matter of safety Perform work as specified according to Company standards and that of the Department of Agriculture and HACCP requirements Ensure that all preparations are maintained and used correctly, and rotation of stock is practiced i.e. use of oldest stock first Perform regular inspections at all sites and review and analyze complaints received Continually look for ways of improving client contact and promote the Companys full range of non-recurring business (specials) also to sell the Companys full range of services Ensure that all worksheets and Service Reports and necessary administration documents are completed as per the company requirements and filed accordingly Service and maintain vacuum machines, single disc scrubbers, walk-behind sweepers, full range of auto scrubbers ride on and walk behind battery operated and diesel operated machines, and all other industrial cleaning hardware Perform assigned tasks in compliance with the companys safety and quality standards and as directed by Electrical Supervisor and/ or Team Leader Report all defects found in the equipment during maintenance activities Coordinate all activities with all facility owners and facility maintenance units Maintain equipment to its optimum performance level by monitoring and performing Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance tasks with an emphasis on safety and quality of work Control and preserve materials and tools issued for the performance of work duties and provide advance notification to supervisor when stocks reach a minimal level
