Job Description
A reputable well established company based in the Bramley/Kew area, requires an Accountant to start immediately: Duties: This hands-on role requires a blend of management, technical skill, and strong reconciliation abilities. You will be responsible for: Full Financial Management: Overseeing the entire accounting process, including processing, preparation of management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow forecasts Discrepancy Resolution: Taking immediate ownership of the general ledger. Your first priority will be to investigate, identify, and resolve outstanding variances and historical financial backlogs Process Improvement: Designing and implementing robust internal controls and efficient accounting procedures to prevent future errors and improve financial reporting accuracy Audit Liaison: Serving as the key contact for external auditors, preparing all required schedules and documentation for the annual audit Reporting: Accurate and on-time preparations of reports such as profit and loss reports, management account report, etc REQUIREMENTS: Education Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance (e.g., BCom Accounting, BTech, or equivalent) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a full-cycle accounting role. Ability to thrive under pressure Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of IFRS for SMEs. Expert-level proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas) and experience with a recognized accounting software package (e.g. Xero). Payspace, Hubdoc and Odoo system knowledge experience is a bonus Skills: Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities. Must be self-driven, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication skills to report findings to non-financial stakeholders.
