Whilst this is a technical accountants position, supporting people and communicating well should be something that comes naturally to you. Our clients are mainly small and medium businesses who need routine tax and accounting work done diligently & efficiently. Role Responsibilities: As an Accounts senior, this is an exciting opportunity to progress your career. You will have experience of Western tax rules & laws. Your primary responsibility will be client facing accounting works for all of our clients who require Bookkeeping, VAT, Accounts, Payroll, Company & Personal Tax Returns and regular interaction, by phone and email. The key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Working independently on the completion of statutory returns, for review by the Senior Accountant Completion of bookkeeping and reviews of clients online files to ensure that information is being recorded and allocated correctly Preparation and explanation of year-end accounts, CT600, and Corporation Tax computations for submission Submitting and meeting statutory deadlines for VAT Completion of Self-Assessment Tax Returns Using FreeAgent & Xero Liaising regularly with clients over phone and email Maintaining client relationships for retention and referrals Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Requirements: Accounting Qualification Proficient in Microsoft Suite Advanced Excel A sharp eye for detail and ability to work to tight deadlines Fully up to date with applicable laws, legislation & regulations Adherence to ForeTwos core values Service Experience & Compliance Experience: Accounting: 3 years (required) If you would like to apply for this role, wed love to hear from you, however the following criteria are essential: Three years experience in tax and compliance centred accounting work in a Commonwealth country including the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand or US. This is Essential. Positive communication skills, including being open and asking when you dont understand something. Communication also is important to bridge the remote location, yet remaining able to integrate well and maintain relations with the team. Self-motivated willing and able to work remotely to the team.
