Mechanical Applications Engineer Johannesburg-East This role is distinct from a pure Design Engineer, as it is more customer-facing and focused on the practical application of products, acting as a "bridge" between sales, engineering, manufacturing, and the Client. Qualification: BEng/BSc in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science Minimum 1-3 years of experience in the mining sector, applications engineering, or product development, in the mining or heavy industry. Willing to travel to customer sites for inspections. Responsibilities: Product Development and Testing: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to test new products, improve existing product designs, and provide feedback on market trends. Technical Reports and documentation: Create and maintain technical data sheets, installation manuals, safety instructions, and inspection reports. Accuracy of failure analysis and reporting.
