Job description: To deliver accurate and timely bookkeeping services by processing financial transactions efficiently and preparing financial reports in accordance with agreed standard operating procedures and legislative requirements. Specific Role Responsibilities Precise and prompt debtors invoicing and collections. Efficient and meticulous processing of creditor invoices and capturing of payments. Thorough and timely processing of cashbook transactions and preparation of bank reconciliations. Petty cash administration. Ensure all month-end processes are completed within stipulated deadlines. Adhere to established processes and governance requirements. Achieve agreed performance targets in accordance with set procedures and service level agreements. Execute duties in line with governance and compliance frameworks. Identify and implement appropriate solutions to operational challenges and escalate unresolved matters. Record and report on work activities to provide reliable and up-to-date information for decision-making within the area of accountability. Plan, coordinate, and perform all financial and bookkeeping tasks effectively to optimize productivity and minimize delays in achieving office objectives. Ensure financial administration processes comply with internal control policies and corporate governance standards and report any discrepancies to the immediate supervisor. Verify that all financial transactions are correct and that documentation is properly maintained and securely stored. Process or accrue expenses correctly within the financial system during the allocated month. Cash on Hand and Bank to be reconciled Ensure payments checked and submitted timeously for payment Ensure Allocations are done daily Ensure Debtors are managed and followed up Processing and Reconciliation of All back end Process and follow up on orders Reconcile Balance sheet accounts up to TB and assist in counts where necessary Reporting check and report on expenses Deliver work activities effectively to satisfy customers. Attend learning initiatives to improve work quality and enhance own skills. Facilitate ad hoc support and training to ensure knowledge transfer. Qualifications and Experience Matric with Accounting and Mathematics Accounting/Bookkeeping Diploma or relevant qualification Must have at least 2 years of bookkeeping experience within the automotive industry in a dealership environment Skills and Personal Attributes Improvement Orientation Interpersonal Effectiveness Planning and organizing Computer Accountancy Applications Computer Literacy Financial Acumen Financial Systems Administration General Business Bookkeeping
