Job Description

We currently have a vacancy for the position of Receptionist, based in Cape Town.Overall purpose of the job: Welcomes visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries, directs calls & visitors by to the relevant department. Main duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to: Answer telephone, screen, and direct calls Take and relay messages Provide information to callers Greet persons entering organisation Direct persons to correct destination Deal with queries from the public and customers Ensure knowledge of staff movements in and out of organisation Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness Provide general administrative and clerical support Prepare correspondence and documents Receive and sort mail and deliveries Monitor and maintain office equipment Control inventory relevant to reception area Ensure the tidiness of the reception area Qualifications, skills, and experience: Grade 12 /Matric essential Qualification in office administration or similar highly preferred Previous experience of at least two years in a similar position Excellent communications skills (both verbal and written) Excellent command of the English language Data capture accuracy & attention to detail. Ability to manage customers expectations Customer focused - ability to excel in the provision of service Energetic/shows initiative and have ability to work under pressure Ability to consistently deliver quality service even when under pressure Time management skills and keen sense of attention to detail PC literate (Excel, Word, e-mail. SAP literate a distinct advantage) Team player
