Senior Heavy Current Electrical Engineer: Pr Eng Sandton, Johannesburg Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Professional Registered Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy current electrical engineering, HV substation (132/88 kV etc), HV Overhead Lines Design (132/ 88 kV etc, MV and LV reticulation design Working knowledge of Retic Master, Power Office, Microstation, Digisilent Own vehicle and ability to travel to project sites in Johannesburg Core Responsibilities: Design and development of heavy current electrical systems for a range of projects, including infrastructure and power generation. Conduct feasibility studies, site surveys, and technical assessments to determine project requirements. Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation in accordance with industry standards and client specifications. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure project execution. Conduct quality assurance reviews and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and engineering standards.
