Panel Shop Technician

Quest Capital Solutions , a leader in Rent-to-Own finance for movable assets in the transport industry, is seeking a Panel Shop Technician skilled in panel beating and spray painting to join our workshop team, located at the corner of Gravel Road and Botfontein Road (M15), Stellenbosch Farms, Cape Town . Key Responsibilities Perform panel beating, dent repair, and body alignment on trucks, trailers, and components. Replace, fabricate, or repair damaged panels, bumpers, fenders, and body sections to restore original structure and appearance. Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, masking, priming, and surface finishing. Carry out spray painting to achieve high-quality, OEM-consistent finishes. Accurately match paint colours and textures using professional mixing and blending techniques. Conduct touch-ups, corrosion treatment, and resprays for minor and major repairs. Work with the Workshop Manager to estimate repair scope, paint materials, and completion timelines. Qualification and experience Trade Certificate / Red Seal preferred in Panel Beating or Spray Painting. Minimum 5 years experience in body repair and spray painting experience with heavy-duty trucks preferred. Skilled in panel repair, filler work, sanding, priming, and spray gun operation. Strong knowledge of paint systems, materials, and safety procedures. Ability to deliver consistent, high-quality finishes within deadlines. Physically fit and capable of working in workshop environments. Detail-oriented, responsible, and safety-conscious.
