Senior Civil Estimator The Recruiter, Grant de Jongh, is currently searching for an experienced Senior Civils Estimator to join a leading construction group involved in major civil infrastructure projects across South Africa. This is a high-impact role ideal for a seasoned professional with strong technical, commercial and analytical capability. About the Role As a Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal part in the preparation, analysis and delivery of competitive tenders for large-scale civil engineering projects. The role requires precision, strong commercial insight, and the ability to interpret complex project information Eligibility Criteria Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering OR BTech / National Diploma in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying Minimum 15 years experience in civil infrastructure projects, construction management and/or estimating Proficiency in MS Projects, Excel and CCS Knowledge of FIDIC, NEC, GCC 2015, COTO, COLTO and SABS 1200 Strong ability to interpret BOQs, drawings and project specifications Excellent analytical, numerical and communication skills Valid Code 8 drivers licence Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates & project programmes Analyse drawings, quantities, specifications and technical data Identify tender risks, constraints and key commercial considerations Source, negotiate and evaluate supplier & subcontractor pricing Compile professional tender submissions with full compliance Assist with tender handovers and maintain cost/production databases Core Competencies Attention to Detail | Commercial Awareness | Strong Planning & Organisation | Stakeholder Engagement | Ability to Work Under Pressure Contract & Package CTC: Dependent on experience Contract Type: Permanent or Long-Duration Contract (LDC) Apply Now via the festive season If you meet the above requirements and want to contribute to world-class civil engineering projects, submit your application through The Recruiter Grant de Jongh.
