Senior Estimator

The Senior Estimator is responsible for leading and coordinating the preparation of accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates for projects, products, or tenders. The role analyses technical specifications, resource requirements, market conditions, and risk factors to provide reliable costings that support strategic business decisions and enhance profitability. · Understanding all workflow aspects of the logistics function - Multimodal Transport Air, land (rail and road), sea - Import, export (hinterland and cross trade knowledge) - Containerised, Breakbulk and Out of Gauge knowledge (Import and Export) · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. · Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Attention to detail and accuracy. · High proficiency and advanced level of Microsoft Excel. · Minimum of 5 to 7 years experience in operations. · 3 to 5 years working experience as an estimator. · Operational experience. · Good administrative skills. · Sound knowledge of Incoterms. · Experience in freight forwarding industry. · Ability to translate estimates into a scope of work. · Broad range of experience gained from supply chain, logistics, transportation and forwarding. · Good communications skills. · Ability to integrate with team members and a team environment. · Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. · Good client interfacing skills.
