Senior Data Engineer

A company that is dedicated to solving African problems by leveraging data-driven insights is seeking a Senior Data Engineer. Please note that this role has a hybrid working model. Skills Required · A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. · Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer in a data-intensive environment. · Deep, hands-on expertise with the Databricks platform. This is non-negotiable. · Strong programming skills in Python and extensive experience with PySpark for large-scale data processing. · Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with complex query optimization. · Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, data modelling, and modern data architecture (e.g., Lakehouse) · Experience working in an agile or sprint-based development environment.
