Data Engineer

Are you a Data Engineer looking to build scalable, reliable data systems in a fast-paced, innovative environment? Youll work on technical solutions that enable data-driven decision making, collaborating with a team of engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, production-ready data systems. Requirements: · BSc/BEng in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline. · 35 years of experience as a Data Engineer or Data Platform Developer, ideally within fintech, e-commerce, or a technology-driven environment. · Strong hands-on experience with AWS data services, including Glue, Athena, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, and DataSync. · Proven experience developing and maintaining ETL pipelines and data integration workflows. · Familiarity with Python (especially boto3) and AWS SDKs for automating data and infrastructure tasks. · Solid understanding of SQL, data modelling, and analytical query optimization Technical Skills · Experience working with API-based data ingestion and transformation frameworks. · Strong understanding of data architecture principles (batch and streaming pipelines, partitioning, schema evolution). · Familiarity with AWS Quicksight and preparing datasets for BI consumption. · Experience using Step Functions and Lambda for orchestration and automation. · Knowledge of Athena query optimisation and cost-efficient data storage. · Exposure to AWS monitoring tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail) and log-based alerting systems. · Experience with data quality validation frameworks and building automated monitoring dashboards. · Understanding of data governance, security, and access control within cloud environments.
