Server IT Administrator

Seeking a proactive Server IT Administrator to manage and support our clients cloud-based server infrastructure for both internal and client environments. You will ensure system reliability, security, and performance while supporting network and storage systems. This role involves occasional after-hours or weekend work to maintain business continuity. Responsibilities: · Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers and virtual environments (Hyper-V). · Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and MS 365 environments. · Monitor system performance, implement security patches, and perform routine maintenance. · Administer firewalls, backups (Acronis), disaster recovery, and cloud servers (Azure). · Support LAN/WAN, VPNs, and troubleshoot network or connectivity issues. · Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and manage monitoring tools. · Document system configurations, incidents, maintenance, and generate uptime reports. · Collaborate with developers, vendors, and third-party service providers. · Recommend infrastructure upgrades, plan capacity improvements, and optimize cloud environments. Key Requirements: · 3 years experience with Hyper-V, MS SQL, firewalls, DNS, and MS 365. · Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments and virtualization. · Proficient in PowerShell scripting and IT system troubleshooting. · Experience with cloud administration (Azure) and backup/disaster recovery processes. · Excellent documentation, analytical, and communication skills. · Ability to work independently and handle after-hours tasks when needed.
