Data Product Manager

My client is looking for a Data Product Manager, based remotely in South Africa , with a Remote work model. Requirements: 35 years experience in data-focused roles (Data Engineering, Data Science, BI, or Data Product). 46 years product management experience OR demonstrated product delivery within data/analytics. Strong SQL proficiency and data analysis capability (required). Solid understanding of data pipelines, data quality, governance, and integration patterns. Experience working with cross-functional teams (data science, engineering, product, UX). Experience designing technical specifications for APIs, data pipelines, and integration workflows. Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure Synapse preferred). Knowledge of data privacy frameworks (GDPR, POPIA). Experience with Power BI or similar data visualisation tools. Ability to communicate complex technical data concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Understanding of data monetisation, marketplace dynamics, or B2B SaaS (advantageous). Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or related field. Python/Spark skills advantageous.
