Finstone SA is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic who is qualified and highly organised individual. Professional, peoples person and skilled with exceptional communication skills and experience to fulfil this respective role. Who are committed to delivering excellence services to join our dedicated quarry team. Summary purpose/expectations: The purpose of the role oversees the repair of all jobs coming into the workshop including complete rebuilds of engines and transmissions. Order parts for all jobs and keep up inventory. Schedule all work on machinery and other equipment within the company. Key Deliverables: Front End Loaders, Excavators, ADTs, Block haulers, Compressors and Generators. Manufacturers include, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Iveco, Bell, Doosan. Diagnose and troubleshoot TMM equipment issues. Offer technical expertise to workshop staff during problem diagnosis and maintenance. Plan, organize, and prioritize daily workshop activities and workload. Ensure timely and standard completion of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on TMM equipment. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance done on TMM equipment. Excellent organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to create a safe working environment for all employees. Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced production environment. Ensure all labour is completed to a high standard and in compliance with safety regulations. Coordinate with other departments within the Group to ensure efficient workflow. Ensure accurate records of work job cards, parts used, and labour hours. Ensure the workshop and machinery are clean, organized, and safe always. Health and Safety: Ensure safety procedures and equipment are maintained. Good understanding of the Mine Health and Safety principles and the MHS Act 1996 Ensure a health and safe work environment. Health and safety responsibilities of workforce. Adhere national mining codes and safety regulations. Requirements: Minimum Academic, Professional Qualifications & Experience required for this position: Grade 12 or N3. Diesel Mechanical Trade Certificate. Firstline certificate. Minimum of 5 years experience on repairs and maintenance of earthmoving machinery in the Granite Industry including Loaders, Excavators, Dump trucks. Moderate Excel and computer literacy skills. Must be prepared to sign a legal appointment. General: Applicant should be located at Marikana or surrounding areas / SA Citizen Valid SA code 10 driver licence and own transport. Core Competencies: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to demonstrate professional judgment. Ability to influence, servant leadership, collaboration, and flexibility. Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross functionally by tailoring messaging for various audiences and stakeholders. Ability to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders at all levels / functions of the organization across diverse cultures. Cost-effectiveness in industrial operations. Excellent organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate, motivate and inspire a team.
