Maintenance Manager HQ / Plant Maintenance Manager

All maintenance related activities at GML and MPE (workshop facilities) to fall under the authority and scope of the maintenance manager. General authority over stock control and purchase orders of maintenance related items. We strongly suggest a financial incentive directly related to improvements in plant and mining uptime in the form of a percentage of increased revenue attributed to maintenance efforts. Take limited control of HR relating to maintenance and engineering staff, especially in terms of tracking work performance, attendance and appraisals. Plant Maintenance (Central and Central West): Develop a preventative maintenance programme and audit current procedures. Enforce the programme. Develop spares list and systems for purchasing stock and maintaining spares stock levels. Develop a breakdown procedure and allocate resources accordingly to alleviate effects of breakdowns while improving the preventative maintenance plan over time. Review job cards and job card system and continue developing the system. Maintenance (HQ) Workshop infrastructure and equipment Paint bay and sandblasting bay MPE work Take charge of developing and costing spares lists for critical and operational spares for projects Develop maintenance instructions and manuals for clients. Take part in equipment selection and sizing for project quotes. Budget control BEng or BSc Mechanical engineering with focus on machine design Strong computer and spreadsheet skills Experience in maintenance role in an engineering setting (mining, industrial) Must be familiar/have practical experience with pumps, motor/gearbox/drive systems. Mechanical CAD design experience preferred. 40 years old preferable. Qualities A lot of energy and perseverance. Excellent physical health and fitness preferable. Able to work in a physically demanding environment for prolonged periods. Able to assert authority and not afraid to discipline or correct staff.
