Job Description

A world-leading withholding tax recovery company that assists institutional clients, including Banks, Mining Houses, and Telecommunication businesses, is seeking a dynamic, energetic, innovative, and strategic Technical Product Owner who is a self-motivated individual with a solid work ethic who can work under deadline, collaborate with teams, and adhere to corporate policies. Responsibilities: Product Strategy & Vision: Define the product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities. Align the roadmap with strategic goals by analysing internal and external stakeholder needs. Agile Leadership: Lead Scrum teams and nurture an Agile culture. Manage and prioritise the product backlog (Jira) , run daily standups, and manage sprint planning. Feature Ownership: Take the lead on developing detailed product feature specifications, ensuring clear understanding by development teams. Research new feature requirements, tech specifications, and manage the UX/UI process. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the product ambassador, providing demos and training. Engage with business leaders to translate business requirements into a technical agenda for development. Delivery Management: Manage internal and external development teams to ensure timely and quality delivery. Run design sessions and proofs of concept to determine the best technical solutions. Risk & Reporting: Actively mitigate roadblocks to successful sprint/release goals. Provide regular progress, risk, and bottleneck reporting to the steering committee. Quality Assurance: Design, develop, and implement test plans and participate in UAT testing. Provide high-level support for deployed functionality. Innovation: Monitor emerging tools, technologies, and methods that could benefit the WTax business. Minimum Requirements: Education/Experience: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology Science/Engineering/Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience. Core Competencies: Strong competency in business process design and analysis , with practical experience in design/re-engineering. Skills: Proven (technology) project management experience . Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to see and present the "big picture" and offer improvement solutions. Agile Experience: Scrum/Agile training and practical experience. System Knowledge: Experience with configuring CRM/ERP systems, with Salesforce experience highly preferred . Technology: Familiarity with modern cloud technology, SaaS products, low code platforms, and working knowledge of IT systems fundamentals (e.g., databases, integration patterns).
