My client in the instrumentation industry is seeking a skilled technician to handle service and customer support. The role focuses on promoting company profitability through excellent service, strong customer relationships, and efficient operations. Key responsibilities include, but not to be treated as an exhaustive list: Service and Repairs: Perform high-quality repairs, installations, calibrations, and site work. Stay updated on evolving equipment. Customer Support: Deliver outstanding support across internal/external sales, service, and projects. Documentation and Communication: Ensure accurate record-keeping, timely reporting, and clear communication with customers and suppliers. Sales and Relationship Management: Promote products/services, maintain strong customer relationships, and aim for repeat business. Hands-On Work: Includes servicing, quoting, documentation, supplier/customer correspondence, and cash collections. The ideal candidate is reliable, accurate, sales-oriented, has a strong moral compass and integrity and committed to real-time task execution and customer satisfaction. Must have prior experience in a similiar and/or same INSTRUMENTATION role with at least 8 years' experience. Excellent communication, and organisational skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Matric qualification is a requirement with highly satisfactory results in mathematics. Tertiary qualification i.e., bachelors degree and/or National Diploma in Instrumentation. Must have integrity. Must be very meticulous by nature. Highly effective work ethic.
