Senior Civil Estimator- Construction Industry

Our client, a well-established civil engineering construction company, in the Somerset West area, is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineering Estimator to join their leadership team. This is a senior-level position offering direct reporting lines to executive management and significant influence over business development and profitability. Requirements: B.Eng Civil Engineering or BSc Quantity Surveying Professional Registration (Civil or QS) 12-15 years of estimating experience within civil engineering construction Proven track record in senior estimating roles Advanced proficiency in CANDY/CSS estimating software Expert-level Microsoft Excel capabilities Comprehensive knowledge of contract suites: GCC, JBCC, NEC, and FIDIC Strong analytical and numerical skills Exceptional English communication skills (verbal and written) Outstanding planning and negotiation abilities Valid driver's license with willingness to travel as required Leadership qualities suitable for senior management interaction Key Responsibilities Tendering Excellence: Identify and evaluate tender opportunities aligned with company capabilities and profit objectives Develop comprehensive cost estimates utilizing input from tender support teams Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard identification for all tender submissions Create detailed work plans and project strategies Present fully costed tender proposals to executive management for approval Ensure competitive positioning in all tender submissions Lead tender adjudication meetings and decision-making processes Contract Management & Client Relations: Conduct client meetings and manage relationship development Lead post-tender negotiations and contract finalization Establish cost parameters for successful projects and communicate to site teams Support project teams in maintaining budget adherence Contact RPO Recruitment for our next career opportunity.
