Cloud Data Platform Support Engineer

Our client within the software & IT services sector is currently looking for an experienced Cloud Data Platform Support Engineer to join the team. Technical Requirements: · Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field · 3 years of hands-on experience in support engineering, cloud operations, or data engineering (Microsoft Azure preferred) · Strong practical experience with cloud-hosted data platforms (data warehouses, pipeline orchestration, distributed compute engines) · Proficiency in SQL, Transact-SQL, Python, and Spark workloads · Knowledge of incident management practices, monitoring, and observability tools · Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and virtualization (Docker) · Experience with modern analytics platforms (Databricks, Spark, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric) · Advantageous: experience with AWS or GCP, automated deployment pipelines, infrastructure as code, CI/CD practices Should you meet the requirements for this position, please email your CV to it.jobs@tumaini.co.za .
