Production Administrator

Our client, operating in the agricultural industry, based on the outskirts of Stellenbosch (between Kraaifontein and Klapmuts), is looking for a detail orientated, structured, and deadline driven individual with strong numerical, and interpersonal skills (Afrikaans & English). This is a great opportunity for someone who wants hands-on experience in a fast-paced production environment. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that clients orders are correctly loaded on the production system, that seed and production components are procured so that sowing and production can be done accurately, timeously and effectively and that production data is captured and maintained accurately on the production system. Key Performance Areas include: *seed stock management and procurement *production administration, management and procurement *handling of clients' orders and client relationship management *seed production seedlings and seed trials *administration and general office management *all ad hoc tasks related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: Matric with Mathematics; Relevant tertiary qualification will be highly advantageous; 3-5 years' relevant experience in an administrative logistics / dispatch / procurement environment; Excellent computer literacy, specifically Microsoft Excel; Own reliable transport and willingness to work overtime during peak season.
