Maintenance Technician (Cookhouse)

Description SSK currently has the following career opportunity at its Animal Feed plant in Cookhouse. The suitable candidate will be responsible for the effective maintenance and repair of all machinery and equipment at the Animal Feed and Silo Plant. Responsibilities Mechanical and maintenance skills and knowledge Knowledge about the following areas of expertise: Electric motors, generators, and compressors Elevator, transfer chains, and conveyor belts Welding and cutting of plant materials Operating Auger and hammer mills Pill machines and steam boilers Installation, wiring, and troubleshooting Planning and execution of maintenance Effective control of personnel and inventory Requirements Appropriate qualification/ proof of competence At least three years of relevant experience A valid Code EB (Code 08) drivers license Good communication and organizational skills Ability to work well in a team and under pressure Health and Safety training will be an advantage Please regard your application as unsuccessful if you do not receive feedback within one month of the closing date.
