HANDS-ON WITH EXPOSURE TO COSTING (BILLS OF MATERIAL) AS YOU WILL COMBINE THIS WITH YOUR ANALYTICAL SKILLS & PROVIDE STRONG SUPPORT TO THE FM AT MONTH-END IN THE COLLECTION, COLLATION & INTERPRETATION OF FINANCIAL INFORMATION (MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING) The scope of the role is currently being reviewed and more detail can be provided at later stage. Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills. Inquisitive, confident, accurate, and attention to detail Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proven ability to lead financial processes and collaborate across teams. Contribute directly to the company's operational and financial success. Cost Accounting Duties: Analyse and monitor production costs, variances, and profitability. Maintain accurate cost records (standard costing- BOMs), ensuring precision in tracking material, labour, and overhead costs. Develop and refine costing systems to support pricing strategies and profitability goals. Prepare detailed cost reports identifying variances and investigating differences, to assist the business in decision-making. Work with operational teams to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives. Oversee inventory valuation, attend, analyse and reconcile stock-takes, prepare monthly stock reports Financial Accounting Duties : Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives. Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to senior management. Assist with working capital planning, optimising the use of resources. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Assist with compliance in audits, and other statutory requirements. Collaborate with management to develop and execute financial strategies that support growth and profitability. Support shareholder engagement by preparing financial reports and updates.
