Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented newly qualified Chartered Accountant [CA(SA)] to join our finance team. This role is a critical support function for the department, offering an excellent opportunity to gain comprehensive exposure to core financial operations, reporting, and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Compliance: Lead the end-to-end preparation, analysis, and review of the companys Annual Financial Statements in strict compliance with IFRS. Prepare and distribute insightful monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for key stakeholders, including management and the board. Interpret and implement new and existing accounting standards to ensure ongoing compliance. Treasury & Cash Management: Manage the end-to-end treasury function, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and banking relationships. Oversee daily cash positioning and execute fund transfers to optimize working capital. Financial Control & Accounting: Take ownership of the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timelines and accuracy are met. Prepare and review complex balance sheet reconciliations (including bank, control, and intercompany accounts) and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items. Administer the Fixed Asset Register and manage the accounting for Work in Progress (WIP), including capitalisation, depreciation, and impairment reviews. Audit & Governance: Act as a primary point of contact for both internal and external auditors, facilitating a smooth audit process. Prepare detailed audit schedules and proactively address audit queries to ensure an efficient and successful audit outcome. Process Improvement: Identify and drive process improvements and system optimisations to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and control of financial operations. Essential Requirements 1. Possession of a Chartered Accountant qualification CA(SA). 2. 03 years of post-articles experience in a similar role. 3. Comprehensive knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, and company taxation. 4. Strong problem-solving abilities, solid analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of business processes and systems optimization. 5. Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in delivering presentations. 6. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong analytical capabilities. 7.Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team. 8. Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with JDE would be advantageous. 9. Ability to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure. 10. Possession of a valid, unendorsed drivers license with own vehicle.
