Job Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs.
Responsibilities
Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plan of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments.
Initiates assessments based on the patient's issues, the physician's diagnosis, and functional health framework.
Performs therapeutic nursing interventions and manages care of patients.
Documents care based on established standards and practices.
Advocates for evidence-based practice and supports adoption of innovations in care delivery.
Provides patient-centered care aligned with the professional nursing practice model.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
One (1) + year of experience in related specialty required.
ASN required; BSN preferred.
BLS - AHA certification required.
NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required.
NRP certification required; ACLS, Advanced AWHONN or EFM preferred.
