Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician's Assistant (PA) to join our team. The PNP/PA will provide advanced psychiatric care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
Provide psychotherapy and counseling as needed.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with practice policies and regulatory standards.
Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education activities.
Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in psychiatric care.
Qualifications:
Master?s or Doctoral Degree in Nursing with a psychiatric specialty (required)
Active PMHNP License in the state of Michigan (required) OR a licensed Physician Assistant in the state of Michigan with prior experience in psychiatric care, including diagnostic treatment and medication management.
Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) (required)
Minimum 2 Years of Experience providing psychiatric assessment and medication management (preferred)
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Proficiency in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
