Regional EHS Specialist (Environmental, Health & Safety)
Location:
Stone Mountain, GA
Travel Required:
Up to 60% (Regional Travel)
Compensation:
$95,000 – $105,000 annually
We are seeking an experienced
Regional EHS Specialist
to oversee Environmental, Health, and Safety programs across multiple locations within an assigned region. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing workplace risk, and fostering a strong safety culture across all facilities.
This position requires regular travel to regional sites in Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, and New Jersey (locations may evolve based on business needs).
Position Summary
The Regional EHS Specialist develops, implements, and manages comprehensive Environmental, Health & Safety programs. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in multi-site safety oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary EHS point of contact for assigned regional facilities
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state and local regulations
Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments; track and close corrective actions
Develop and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
Support emergency preparedness planning and response
Deliver safety training including new hire orientation, refresher, and specialized training
Monitor and report key EHS metrics (injury rates, near misses, environmental data)
Partner with operations and leadership to integrate safety into daily operations
Manage regulatory reporting, permits, and required documentation
Support workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work programs
Travel regularly to regional sites as required
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field
3–5 years of EHS experience (multi-site or regional experience preferred)
Strong working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations
Experience conducting audits, investigations, and safety training
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to influence and engage employees at all organizational levels
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS management systems
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, CIH, or CHMM
Experience in manufacturing, construction, logistics, or industrial environments
Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Combination of office and field-based work
Ability to walk industrial/manufacturing sites and wear required PPE
Flexibility to support multiple operational locations
